The tagua nut has been a lot harder to work that I originally thought. Its a very difficult material to remove but more forgiving than the soap as it doesn't flake and crack like the problems I had with the bar of soap.
The techniques require more skill, careful tool placement and more time to work on the emphasis that I'm trying to achieve. The soap was definitely a nice starting point and provided us with an almost immediate result which meant that we could move on and refine more techniques.
